WE LOVE CHALLENGES

7 years of prototyping, lab and real-world testing, education and partnerships have brought us to a point

where our amazing GarageSkins systems are ready for market! We’ll be adding a section soon with our lab testing results… but the real world systems we have in place are holding up incredibly well, and have survived hurricanes and even people crunching into garage doors! With advisors on board that have led very large manufacturing companies, a committed team deeply engaged in launching this product, and amazing partners surrounding us to provide great raw materials and services, we are excited to finally be able to provide a real solution for what’s been a pretty large hole in the home improvement marketplace – dressing up an existing garage door without replacement or breaking the bank. HELPING THE ENVIRONMENT

While dressing up a home’s exterior may not seem like a path to shepherding our environment, many of our customers will choose our solution to garage door enhancement over replacement with a real wood or wood-clad door. This choice will greatly decrease the industry’s reliance on forest-depleting woods being harvested, especially hardwoods that are typically sourced from developing nations where harvesting oversight is minimal at best. Even converting 10% of the real wood door replacement sales to an add-on overlay system made of foam and veneers would save 8,500,000 board feet of harvested wood annually. With our GarageSkins

systems using very thin veneers harvested from domestic farmed crops,  we will effectively save 75,000 trees annually from depletion.

In addition, using our systems will keep steel doors out of the waste stream, as our solution requires no replacement of your existing door. This saves fuel usage, transportation, power required to recycle the metal, and keeps an already perfectly good garage door

where it should be – firmly on your beautiful home! All of these things combined make using our GarageSkins systems to enhance your door not only the right choice, but also the smart one.
